Auto Repair in

Oceano, CA

Just off the Oceano Dunes, cars take on a different kind of wear than they do inland, and that’s exactly the kind of work our Paso Robles shop handles well. ASE-certified technicians look at what’s actually wrong, not just what’s quick to fix.

Auto Repair Services in Oceano, California

Whether you’re heading out to the Oceano Dunes for the weekend or just running errands around the 5 Cities area, your vehicle needs to be ready for the drive. Shift’n Gears Auto Repair offers the full lineup of services Oceano drivers rely on, from routine maintenance to major repairs. Make the short trip up Highway 101 to our Paso Robles shop, and our ASE-certified technicians will handle the rest.

Air Conditioning Repair

Coastal humidity and warm afternoon drives along Highway 1 put real strain on your air conditioning system. If your AC is blowing warm air instead of cool, our air conditioning repair team will diagnose the issue and have you driving in comfort again.

Brake Repair

Frequent trips through sandy, stop-and-go traffic near the dunes wear down brake pads faster than you'd expect. Our brake pad replacement and brake repair services keep Oceano drivers stopping safely, whether you're headed to the beach or across town.

Diesel Service & Repair

Diesel trucks hauling gear to the dunes or work equipment around Oceano need specialized care to perform at their best. Our diesel service and repair team has the training and tools to keep your diesel engine running strong for the long haul.

Electrical Diagnostics

A flickering dashboard light or a car that won't start can leave Oceano drivers stranded near Pier Avenue or anywhere in between. Our electrical diagnostics pinpoint the problem quickly, so you're not left guessing about what's wrong under the hood.

Aftermarket Parts and Accessories

Whether you're outfitting a truck for the dunes or upgrading your daily driver, quality parts make the difference. We install aftermarket parts and accessories built to handle Oceano's sandy roads and coastal conditions without sacrificing performance.

Check Engine Light Repair

That check engine light doesn't have to mean a long trip to the dealership. Our check engine light repair service reads the codes, finds the root cause, and gets Oceano drivers back on Highway 101 with confidence.

Differential Repair

Grinding or whining noises from underneath your vehicle often point to differential trouble, especially after miles of sandy, uneven terrain near the dunes. Our differential repair technicians restore smooth power delivery so your ride feels right again.

Really great to work with, radiator blew while traveling through town. Extremely fair on pricing and service was great. They even cleaned the van inside and out. My wife really appreciated that part. Would use as my regular shop if lived near by.

Tug Bozanich Customer

Great business. Very personable, friendly, and professional. The owner Jimmy walked me through the repairs needed, and was honest in his assessment of my needs. The repair was done quickly and efficiently, and I’m safe on the road once more. Thank you Shift’n Gears!

Kevin Lambert Customer

Kevin was great from the jump, as soon as I called I knew I was going with them. He didn’t sound bothered or bored, but actually interested in helping me. Really set them apart from the rest immediately.

Jacob Havard Customer

100% recommend! Moved my father to this area and he was in need of something minor after the 600m drive. We stopped in and they were polite, accurate, informative and in the end they didn't charge us for the issue. I had to leave early to get back to Colorado but they took care of my dad and offered a pickup/drop-off service. I wish these guys were in Colorado but I'm glad they are there for my dad.

Needed an inspection for a transit van. They were able to get us in the same day and perform the task within four hours. Excellent service, very friendly, and the price was reasonable. They had details about what future repairs was needed. Also, they supplied an Uber for me so I didn’t have to wait in the waiting room.

Rechael Murphey Customer

I have a pretty unique car that another shop couldn’t align so they recommended Shift N Gears. The team was super knowledgeable and they did a great job getting it dialed in. I’ll definitely be back.

Nick Nowakowkski Customer

I brought my 2010 Honda accord to get things tuned up and they did a wonderful job letting me know what was needed and what to come back for in the future! I have friends and family that have had extensive work done on their cars and I hear nothing but good things. I highly recommend if you’re looking for honest, reliable opinions on what I need with you car.

Kiah Williams Customer

Kevin and team did an excellent, professional job from start to finish on our Corvette! After experiencing a breakdown en route to the coast, they welcomed our car and took time to expertly fix the issues, explaining and keeping us updated along the way. We highly recommend this shop!
